Daniel Piedl wurde in Ungarn geboren und studierte an der Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Graz / Oberschützen bei Prof. Martin Kerschbaum.

Er spielt in zahlreichen Ensembles wie den Wiener Symphonikern, Kristjan Järvi’s Absolute Ensemble, La Stagione Frankfurt, Solamente Naturali Bratislava, Il Giardino Armonico, Prisma Wien, Wiener Johann Strauss Orchester, Tonkünstler-Orchester Niederösterreich, Julian Rachlin & Friends, Concentus Musicus Wien, Chamber Orchestra of Europe, Wiener Concertverein, Mahler Chamber Orchestra, Orquesta Barocca de Sevilla, Strauss Festival Orchestra, Ensemble Kontrapunkte, Solistes Européens Luxembourg, Wiener Kammerphilharmonie, Symphonieorchester Vorarlberg, Symphonieorchester der Volksoper Wien, Schönbrunner Schlossorchester, Wiener Mozart Orchester, Camerata Salzburg, Vienna Classical Players, Bühnenorchester der Wiener Staatsoper etc.

Zahlreiche Tourneen im In- und Ausland.

Seit 2011 ist er festes Mitglied des Orchesters am Stadttheater Baden.
