Sein musikalischer Werdegang startete bei Bruno Sulzbacher, wo er im Alter von 8 Jahren seinen ersten Unterricht am Tenorhorn erhielt.

Mit 14 kam der Wechsel auf die Tenorposaune im musischen Zweig des Stiftsgymnasium Admont bei Siegmund Andraschek. Es folgte der Vorbereitungslehrgang auf der Anton Bruckner Privatuniversität Linz bei Reiter Johann.

Neben dem Musikgymnasium der Dreihackengasse in Graz, besuchte er das Johann Joseph Fux Konservatorium, wo er von Wolfgang Tischhart unterrichtet wurde.

Derzeit studiert Filip auf der Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Wien bei Otmar Gaiswinkler.

Während seiner laufenden Ausbildung, wirkte er bei zahlreichen Orchesterprojekten mit, wie z.B. dem Operettenorchester Wien, dem SSO und dem COOV, was ihm auch ermöglichte, Länder wie China, den Balkan, Skandinavien, oder Japan, bei Tourneen zu bereisen.
