Michael C. Havlicek wurde in Wien geboren,
studierte bei Prof. Gerhard Kahry, diplomierte als Don Giovanni und wird seit 2019 von Prof. Heidrun Franz Vetter künstlerisch betreut.

Im April 2011 gab er sein Debut an der Wiener Volksoper als Gustl in „Das Land des Lächelns“,
wo er auch im September 2011 seinen ersten Papageno sang und seither festes Ensemblemitglied ist.

Gastspiele mit der Wiener Volskoper führten ihn nach Tokyo und Savonlinna.

2014 gab er in „Die Zauberflöte“ sein Debut an der Opéra Bastille in Paris unter der Leitung von Philippe Jordan. Neben seiner Bühnentätigkeit überzeugte er auf dem Konzertpodium als Mendelssohns „Elias“ , in „Ein Deutsches Requiem“ von Johannes Brahms und als Adam in Haydns „Die Schöpfung“.

Als Lied - Interpret trat er bei Festivals in Frankreich, Schweden und Deutschland in Erscheinung.
Im April 2019 kam er als Papageno erstmals ans Badische Staatstheater Karlsruhe, im Sommer 2019 folgte sein Debut als Falke in „Die Fledermaus“, 2021 sein Debut als Don Fernando in „Fidelio“ beim Lech Classic Festival. 2022 sang er ebendort in einer konzertanten Fassung von Gershwins „Porgy und Bess“ den Porgy.

Am Musiktheater Linz sang er 2023 in der Jubiläumsproduktion von „Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg“ unter der Leitung von Markus Poschner die Rolle des „Fritz Kothner“.
