Nach einem vierjährigen Engagement an der Volksoper Wien und sieben Jahren als Erster Kapellmeister am Luzerner Theater, arbeitet der schwedisch/australische Dirigent Rick Stengårds wieder als freischaffender Künstler in Wien.

Er hat über 100 verschiedene Werke an Häusern wie Wiener Staatsoper, Opera Australia und Folkoperan Stockholm dirigiert.

Zu den Höhepunkten seiner Karriere zählen unter anderem L’Heure Espagnol, La Sonnambula, West Side Story und Ein Sommernachtstraum am Luzerner Theater, Die Csardasfürstin in Leipzig, Die Fledermaus am Theater Lüneburg, sowie Konzerte mit dem Melbourne Symphony Orchester, dem Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg, Orchestra Victoria und MUSIKFABRIK.

Comfort Ye in Kapstadt, Macbeth und Herzog Blaubarts Burg in Melbourne, sowie Konzerte mit dem Australian Youth Orchestra, Monash Academy, Malta Philharmonic Orchestra stehen auf dem Programm für die kommende Saison.
